When COVID hit, live music stopped and concert posters were no longer needed. As a part of Detroit Design Guild, we shifted our focus to doing what we could to help in some way. We created a series of public service posters inspired by the WPA posters of the 1930s and 40s that encouraged and reminded people of safe practices outlined by the CDC.
The posters were screenprinted and sold online with profits donated to Forgotten Harvest, a local food rescue non-profit to benefit the hungry. Additionally, they were shared on social media as well as being used as Out Of Home, including billboards and wheatpasted posters around the city of Detroit.
Finally, the posters were collected in a book recording one of the most difficult and unusual years in human history.
