After creating my #sad illustration, I realized how much I liked drawing dead birds. Morbid as it sounds, there is something about their tiny, still corpses that forces me to be very delicate with my line work. I also like how melodramatic an image of a dead bird can come across, perhaps because they are so often used as a symbol of freedom.
